Boxer
History and Origin
The Boxer descends from ancient mastiffs. The Boxer's ancestors were used to hunt bears and wild boar and as fighting dogs when hunt fell into decay. Bull fights being banned, they become watchdogs and circus dogs. The Boxer is a result of the careful selective breeding these dogs and crosses to some other breeds such as GreatDanes and English Bulldogs. The breed was created in Germany in the end of the 19th centuries.
Appearance
The Boxer is a middle-sized compact square built dog with proud carriage. The height is 21-25 inches. The weight is 53-70 pounds.
This dog is a great combination of strength and speed.
The coat is short and shiny. It comes in fawn, brindle with white markings.

The Boxer is known for his devotion, protective ability and ranks very high for intelligence and learning abilities.
This is a playful, agile and high-spirited. These dogs get along well with children.
The Boxer is recognised as a police dog.
